Balsamic Maple Syrup Marinade

Rich balsamic vinegar, pure maple syrup, garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and herbs come together in this versatile homemade marinade. Sweet, tangy, and savory, it's perfect for chicken, pork, and salmon, creating beautifully caramelized flavor whether grilled, roasted, baked, or cooked in a cast iron skillet.

  • Add the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, avocado oil, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, kosher salt, thyme, rosemary, onion powder, and black pepper to a blender. Blend for 20 to 30 seconds, or until the garlic is finely minced and the marinade is well combined.
    Pour the marinade over up to 3 pounds of chicken, pork, or salmon in a gallon-size zip-top bag or shallow glass dish. Turn to coat evenly, cover, and refrigerate.
    When ready to cook, remove the protein from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Discard the used marinade.
    Grill, roast, bake, or cook in a cast iron skillet until the protein reaches a safe internal temperature.

Notes

  • This marinade is delicious with chicken thighs, chicken breasts, pork chops, pork tenderloin, and salmon.
    Marinate chicken for 4 to 24 hours.
    Marinate pork for 4 to 24 hours.
    Marinate salmon for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
