Teriyaki Sauce

Teriyaki sauce is a Japanese condiment that has become increasingly popular worldwide. As the name suggests, “teri” means shine or luster, and “yaki” means grilled or broiled. This delicious sauce is known for its sweet and savory flavor profile and is commonly used as a marinade or glaze for meats, vegetables, and even noodles.

While it is readily available in grocery stores, making your own teriyaki sauce at home is surprisingly easy and gives you the freedom to adjust the ingredients according to your taste preferences. Not to mention, it is a healthier option compared to the store-bought versions, as it eliminates preservatives and artificial additives. So, let’s dive into the world of homemade teriyaki sauce and how you can make it in your own kitchen.

Once your homemade teriyaki sauce is ready, the possibilities are endless. You can use it as a marinade for chicken, beef, or pork or even a glaze for roasted vegetables. It also works great as a dipping sauce for sushi, dumplings, or even French fries. You can also use it to make a quick and easy stir-fry by tossing your favorite protein and veggies in a skillet with a generous amount of teriyaki sauce.
