Homemade Tomato Paste ketchup
Ingredients
- 1 cup Tomato paste
- 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Pure maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp Ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp Mustard powder
- 1 tsp Worstershire sauce
Optional add-ins
- Cayenne to taste
- 1/4 tsp Celery salt
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder or to taste
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder or to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add tomato paste. Pour in vinegar and mix well. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Taste and add additional spices if desired.
- Taste your homemade ketchup and adjust any of the ingredients as desired. If you like it tangier, add more vinegar. For a sweeter taste, incorporate more maple syrup or honey.
- You might need some filtered water to smooth it out to desired consistancy.
