Homemade Tartar Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Chopped pickles, sweet or dilll
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 6 Drops. hot sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Optional add ins
- Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp Finally chopped shallot or onion
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Chopped capers
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients minus the salt and pepper and mix well.
- Taste the mixture and then season with salt and pepper according to your preferences
- Cover and refrigerate the tartar sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld together and intensify.
