To make a marinade for steak, chicken, shrimp, or even vegetable fajitas, add the spice mix to 2 cups of liquid, pineapple juice, mango juice, apple juice, or beer with 2 tbsp of oil, the juice of a lime, and 2 cloves garlic minced.
A spice grinder does not take up much space and can be easily stored away, And if you are going to be making your own spices, I highly recommend adding one to your kitchen essentials
Don’t grind this spice blend into a dust; all it needs is two or three pulses; breaking up the spices this way helps release their oils and brings out their flavor.

- spice grinder its nice to have but you can make without
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp celery salt optional
Instructions
- If using a spice grinder place all ingredients in the grinder
- Only pulse 2 or 3 times do make it into a dust, just mix well and break up the oregano
- I like to salt and pepper my meat before cooking so I can control the salt levels, If you prefer to add in your salt, simple add 1/2 tsp salt and a few grinds of the pepper mill to the grinder before pulseing

- Place all ingredients in a jar or something with a tight-fitting lid and shake well.
