A Simple Way to Get That Classic Salt & Vinegar Flavor at Home
There’s just something about salt and vinegar. That sharp, tangy bite is one of those flavors people either love or avoid, and if you love it, you want that bold punch, not something watered down.
The good news is, you can make that flavor at home in just a few minutes.
With just two ingredients, you can make your own salt and vinegar seasoning, and once you have it, you’ll start reaching for it more than you think.
Ways to Use Salt & Vinegar Seasoning
This isn’t just for potato chips, although it’s incredible there. Once you have a jar of it, you’ll find all kinds of uses:
Homemade potato chips
French fries
Popcorn
Roasted potatoes
Chicken wings
Roasted or grilled vegetables
Fresh tomato slices
Avocado toast
Anything that can handle a little salt can usually handle that vinegar kick too.
A Quick Note on Vinegar Powder
Not all vinegar powders are the same.
Some store-bought versions include added ingredients like maltodextrin or other fillers to help with flow and shelf life. If you’re trying to keep things clean and simple, it’s worth taking a minute to look at the label.
The one I use and trust is linked in the recipe, and it keeps this seasoning exactly what it should be, just salt and vinegar, nothing extra.
