Weeknight Dinner Just Got Easier (and Tastier)
Most teriyaki beef recipes call for thinly sliced steak — which is delicious, but not exactly quick or budget-friendly when you’re trying to get dinner on the table after a busy day. This recipe takes all the sweet-savory flavors you love in teriyaki and pairs them with ground beef for a fast, satisfying stir-fry that’s ready in about 30 minutes.
It’s a lighter, fresher take that still delivers plenty of flavor, with sweet pineapple chunks, crisp veggies, and a glossy homemade teriyaki sauce that clings to every bite.
Why This Recipe Works
1. Ground Beef for the Win
Ground beef is affordable, cooks quickly, and absorbs flavor beautifully. It’s also a great way to use up that pound of beef you’ve been saving in the fridge or freezer.
2. Fresh, Balanced Flavors
The sweetness of pineapple balances the salty umami of soy sauce (or tamari if you’re gluten-free). Bell pepper and broccoli add crunch and color, while onion brings just the right amount of savory depth.
3. Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
Forget store-bought bottles filled with high-fructose corn syrup and additives. This sauce is made from simple pantry ingredients, with pineapple juice as the base for a naturally sweet, tangy flavor.
