Homemade Elote Seasoning

This clean, pantry-friendly elote seasoning blend brings bold flavor without the burn. Made with Florida Crystals cane sugar, Redmond’s Real Salt, and warm spices like chipotle, cumin, and smoked paprika—plus a pop of lime zest and extra cilantro—it’s perfect for grilled corn, tacos, roasted veggies, and more. Optional nutritional yeast adds a cheesy, dairy-free kick. No additives, just flavor.

Instructions (With a Spice Grinder):

  • Add all ingredients to a clean, dry spice grinder or coffee grinder.
Pulse in short bursts until everything is evenly blended and slightly finer in texture—about 10–15 seconds.
Let it settle for a few seconds before opening the lid to avoid spice dust.
Transfer to an airtight jar and store in a cool, dry place.

Instructions (Without a Spice Grinder):

  • Add all ingredients to a small bowl or jar.
Whisk together thoroughly, or shake in a sealed jar until well combined.
Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place.

 Use It On:

  • Don’t limit yourself to corn—this seasoning is so versatile:
Grilled or roasted corn (especially with mayo or butter)
    Elote in a cup
    Popcorn or roasted chickpeas
French fries or sweet potato wedges
    Tacos, nachos, avocado toast
As a dry rub for shrimp, chicken, or roasted vegetables
Stir into sour cream or Greek yogurt for an easy dip
