Ingredients

⚠️ Peanut Butter Warning:Never use peanut butter with xylitol—a sugar substitute that is highly toxic to dogs. Always check the label and use unsweetened, xylitol-free peanut butter only.

(Base Recipe):

  • 1/3 cup peanut butter or 1/3 cup plain pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted, but not hot
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds or ground flaxseed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or all-purpose)
  • 1/4 cup water (more if needed)
  • 1/2 tsp teaspoon ground turmeric

Optional Add-Ins (Choose 1–2):

  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen, no sugar added)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce (adds moisture and mild sweetness)
  • 1 tsp chopped parsley or mint (helps with breath)
  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup mashed sweet potato (instead of pumpkin or peanut butter for a third flavor option)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter or pumpkin, coconut oil, shredded carrots, chia/flax, and egg.
Stir in oats and flour. Gradually add water until the dough holds together—soft but not sticky.
Fold in blueberries and any optional add-ins.
Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and firm to the touch.
Cool completely before serving or storing.

Storage:

  • Room Temp: 7 days (airtight container)
