THE CLASSIC RANCH SEASONING

This creamy, herby dressing that started its popularity in the 50’s is now used on more than just salads, it’s how some moms get vegetables in their kids, it replaces blue cheese for wings ( but for me NoNoNo always blue cheese for wings) and we are now dipping our pizza in it, but have you looked at the ingredients in that bottle of ranch dressing in your fridge.

some contain titanium dioxide to make them appear whiter, this is a chemical that is also used in sunscreen and has been linked to cancer

 

If you are out cruising or sailing and have my panty staples you can have ranch dressing or dip in no time

 

use this mix on anything you would use your packet of ranch dressing on

dressing, dip, popcorn, roasted potatoes, chicken

 

to make ranch dressing

3 tbsp dry ranch mix

1/2 cup mayo

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk or water

if you do not have sour cream on board then use 1 cup of mayo

it may take more or less liquid, just add until its the consistency you like

Make homemade Ranch dressing fresh and fast

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp dried dill
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1 tsp dried chives
  • 1 tbsp dried celery or 1 tsp celery seeds
  • 1/2 cup dry buttermilk powder

Instructions
 

  • I like to add everything except the buttermilk powder in the spice grinder and give it a few grinds, then add it to the jar I am using and add the buttermilk powder and give it a good shake
  • if you do not have a grinder then add everything to a jar and shake well
  • 3 tablespoon is about the eqivalant to a package of ranch mix
