Balsamic Vinaigrette

Substitutes

 honey for the brown sugar

fresh thyme for the dried thyme

 

Use it to dress up and salad or as a marinade for chicken, pork, steaks, or vegetables.

Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • 1 food processor optional

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
 

  • in the bowl of your food processor add the first 7 ingredients
  • if you do not have a food processor, then add ingredients to a jar with a tight fitting lid, and shake well
  • with the moter running, slowley add the oil
  • If you are using a jar, add the oil and shake it for 1 to 2 minutes, until well combined
  • store in the refirerater
  • great as a salad dressing or a marinade
  • this recipe makes about 1 cup
