Eggnog Coffee Creamer
Ingredients
- 2 cups half & half
- 1/3 cup brown sugar or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp kosher salt
Optional
- Tiny pinch turmeric, for natural eggnog color only

- Warm everything togetherAdd the half & half to a saucepan over low heat.Whisk in the brown sugar or maple syrup, molasses, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, and optional turmeric.Heat gentlyContinue warming, whisking occasionally, until the mixture reaches 170°F.Steam is perfect. Do not simmer or boil.Turn off the heat and add vanillaRemove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.Strain and store (optional)Strain if you want an extra-smooth creamer.Let cool slightly, then transfer to a jar and refrigerate.
Storage
