Basil Butter
The fragrant and savory combination of basil and butter creates a versatile condiment that can be used in pasta dishes, on grilled meats, or on toast. It is easy to make and can elevate any meal with its rich and herbaceous taste.

Ingredients
- 1 cup firmly packed fresh basil
- 1 cup butter
- zest of one lemon
- 1/8 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the basil a few times to give the basil a chop.
- Add the lemon zest, salt, and butter, and pulse a few more times.
- I like to wrap mine in parchment paper.Use parchment paper or a rubber spatula to help you form the log. Wrap in parchment paper or plastic wrap, and store in an airtight container, and freeze for up to 6 months. When you're ready to use the butter, simply slice off the amount you want to use and put the rest back in the freezer.
