I always have ground beef in the freezer and somedays after a long day of cruising, diving, or sightseeing we love the simple ground beef taco. They are simple, fast, and with this seasoning blend tasty
it’s really simple to turn this into a substitute for that package of taco season, that’s full of salt and MSG and control your own spice and salt levels
for ground beef tacos
add 1 tsp corn starch to 2 Tbsp seasoning mix. Add this and 1/2 cup water to one pound cooked ground beef and cook for 5 minutes.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- place all ingredients in a spice grinder and grind several times
- or place all ingredients in a jar and shake well
Notes
if using to replace a package of taco seasoning, add 1 tsp of corn starch and 2 Tbsp seasoning blend. Add this with 1/2 cup water to one pound of ground beef!
