Natural Colored Deviled Eggs

Ingredients
  

For Red Eggs

  • 6 Peeled hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Cane sugar
  • 1 Beets peeled and chopped

For Yellow Eggs

  • Peeled hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Cane sugar
  • 1 Turmeric

Instructions
 

For Red Eggs

  • 1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 chopped beet, 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, and 1 tbsp of cane sugar.
    2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn off the heat.
    3. Let it steep for 15 to 20 minutes, allowing the beets to release their natural color.

For Yellow Eggs

  • 1. In another saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of turmeric, 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, and 1 tbsp of cane sugar.
    2. Bring to a boil and then turn off the heat, letting the mixture steep for the same amount of time, 15 to 20 minutes.

Color Your Eggs

  • 1. Once your dye has steeped, strain the mixture to remove any solid pieces, keeping the colorful liquid.
    2. Pour the dye over the peeled eggs in a jar. Make sure the eggs are fully submerged. If needed, add a little more water to cover them completely.
    3. Place the jar in the fridge and let the eggs soak for 12 to 24 hours to achieve a deeper color.
  • After the eggs have soaked and reached your desired color, drain them and lay them on a paper towel to drain and it’s time to make them into deviled eggs!
