Gingerbread Simple Syrup
Made with gingerbread spices, and molasses sugar, this homemade simple syrup is easy to quick to make and has so many uses that you’ll want to add it to all your favorite drinks and sweets in the holiday season.

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp molasses not the blackstrap variety
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger diced optional
- 1 tbsp gingerbread spice mix
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Bring to a soft boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook until the sugar dissolves, stirring often.
Transfer to a heat-proof container to cool to room temperature. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
