Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz bag of frozen peas, thawed and drained
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 8 Pieces of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup Small cubed cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup Diced red onion If you soak them in ice water for 5 minutes, it will make them crisper and they will not be as strong and pungent
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher salt This is a good starting point and you can taste and add more after the salad is done
  • 1/8 tsp Freshly ground pepper This is a good starting point and you can taste and add more after the salad is done

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together the sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Add the sour cream and mayo and whisk to combine.
  • Add peas, onion, cheese, and bacon to the bowl; gently stir to coat completely.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Garnish with some crispy bacon.
